Yes, both classes are mandatory for students enrolled in higher classes, starting with Ballet II. Attending both days ensures that your child receives the full benefit of the curriculum and progresses effectively in their training. Regular attendance on both days is important for developing the skills and techniques taught at this level.
Pre-Dance: Typically for younger children (around 5 years old). Introduction to basic dance movements, rhythm, and coordination through fun activities and games with the objective to develop motor skills, body awareness, and a love for dance in a playful environment.
Preparatory Ballet: Usually for children around 6-7 years old. Basic ballet techniques and terminology, simple exercises, and an introduction to ballet positions, with the objective to build a foundation in ballet, improve balance and flexibility, and prepare students for more structured ballet classes.
Ballet I: Typically for children aged 7-8 years. Fundamental ballet techniques, basic positions, and simple combinations. Emphasis on posture, alignment, and basic barre exercises, with the objective to further develop ballet skills, enhance discipline and focus, and prepare students for more advanced levels of ballet training.
Each level is designed to build upon the previous one, ensuring that students develop a strong foundation in ballet while enjoying the learning process.
Classes typically begin with a warm-up, followed by technique practice, choreography, and cool-down. Each class is designed to be age-appropriate and engaging.
Generally, no special equipment is needed beyond the appropriate dance attire and shoes. Any additional requirements will be communicated by the instructors. Teachers will organize costumes for the final show, which will be distributed to children upon payment (approx. 25 Euro).
For Ballet, students should wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. For Hip Hop and Jazz Dance, comfortable clothing and appropriate dance shoes are recommended.
Yes, you need to fill out the transfer form from Maison Relais with the corresponding schedule times. Children up to a certain age will be accompanied by an educator from Maison Relais during the transfer.
It is recommended that parents provide support to their children during the first or trial class. This allows parents to be present if their child experiences discomfort. A parent or guardian must accompany children up to six years of age, as our teachers cannot transfer them to maison relais in case they decide to leave the class.
If there is no place available in the desired class, your child will be put on a waiting list. We will inform you as soon as a spot becomes available. Meanwhile, we can suggest alternative classes that may have available spots.
If your child attends a trial class, we cannot always guarantee their place in the class. Some classes are in high demand, and spots may fill up quickly.
Yes, your child can attend multiple trial classes for different dance styles. Please contact us to arrange these trials, and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
No, there is no additional fee for attending a trial class. However, if you decide to register for the course after the trial, the standard course fees will apply.
If your child wishes to try a different class after attending a few sessions, please email us with your request. We will work with the teachers to see if a change is possible and confirm the switch with you.
Yes, we offer the option for children to attend a trial class before committing to a full course. Please contact us to schedule a trial class for your child. This allows your child to experience the class and ensures it is a good fit before registration.
Class changes after registration should be exceptional. If you need to request a class change, please inform us via email. The change will require the approval of the teacher and confirmation from IDEA. We strive to accommodate your needs while ensuring that classes remain balanced and effective.
