Groove to the beat
Jazz dance is a complex of different rather complicated styles and techniques to classify. It is a very ancient dance, influenced by many elements and numerous currents. In ancient times, in fact, it was nothing more than a traditional dance of the African-American communities, however, with the passage of time, teaching also from other civilisations; thus absorbing the European movement that has given finesse and class to the movements, while of the African style it has maintained the rhythmic and wild adrenaline, and the primordial magic.
Specifically, jazz dance is a movement in constant development that goes hand in hand with cultural changes.
The current jazz dance courses includes two styles: modern jazz and lyrical jazz. Modern jazz, compared to lyrical, is more animated, lively, lively. Instead, lyrical, (the meaning is already savoured by the word itself), understood as music, not as movements, is quiet, more calm, more “orderly” adding on some occasions elements of oriental, Hispanic and Afro-Cuban dances. For those new to this dance, it provides for an interesting and very instructive educational, educational path.
During the courses, technical work will be developed specifically based on the posture and the axis of consciousness, on functional analysis, on muscle freedom, on the support and on the relationship of the body in space, flanked by a dynamic choreographic work, focussed on the quality of movement. This dance tunes the body and mind, giving free rein to the soul.
